Fast breaking news event of international scope with intensifying magnitude are daily blanketing the earth. Earthquakes, natural disasters, economic instability and political strife are escalating. Treaties, agreements and man-made covenants even of a clandestine nature fail to address or arrest the real issues of this rapidly approaching avalanche of global developments. In the process, religious liberty and national sovereignty are being eradicated. Politically, economically, and religiously bound together by coercion, the nations of the earth are being forcibly moved towards a "New World." In effect, a multinational global police force under the control of the United Nations, have taken residence in the United States and other countries to ensure its definition of "peace". The G.A.T.T. treaty promises economic prosperity and the World Council of Churches promises religious harmony.

Who is the architect and moving force of this diabolical plan? Who shall ultimately rule this forthcoming global ecclesiastical government? Will it be Communism? Will it be Catholicism? Will it be the globalist (international financiers) or some other?

Many believe the pope of Rome to be the instigator and uncontested figure to rule this upcoming religio-political economic system, but is this really true? What does the Bible say?

BEAST OUT OF THE EARTH EXERCISES GREAT POWER

"And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

"And he excised all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed." Revelation 13: 11,12

"But the beast with lamblike horns was seen 'coming up out of the earth'. Instead of overthrowing other powers to establish itself, the nation thus represented must arise in territory previously unoccupied and grow up gradually and peacefully. It could not, then, arise among the crowed struggling nationalities of the Old World - that turbulent sea of 'peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.' It must be sought in the Western Continent.

"What nation of the New World was in 1798 rising into power, giving promise of strength and greatness and attracting the attention of the World? The application of the symbol admits of no question. One nation, and only one, meets the specifications of the prophecy; it points unmistakably to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA." The Great Controversy, p. 440.

"'And he had two horns like a lamb.' The lamblike horns indicate youth, innocence, and gentleness, fitly representing the character of the United States, which presented to the prophet as 'coming up' in 1798… Republicanism and Protestantism became the fundamental principles of the nation. These principles are the secret of its power and prosperity. The oppressed and downtrodden throughout Christendom have turn to this land with interest and hope. Millions have sought it shores and the United States has risen to a place among the most powerful nations of the earth." The Great Controversy, p.441.

It will be noticed that every beast representing the New Testament time has ten horns except this one. The ten horns stand as a symbol of universal systems. This fact proves that the two-horned beast represents a local government. As civil powers or governments are symbolized by horns, this particular beast having two, it is evident that the nation represented by this symbol, shall have a double form of government. As John says, "The beast spake as a dragon," it clearly reveals that it is to repudiate it constitution, and the God given liberty of its subjects will be taken away. According to verse 12, this power is to imitate the beast "before him" (the papal rule): "And he exercised all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed."

The two-horned beast exercises all the power which the first beast, the leopard-like, exercised, again showing it to be a world power. Indeed, it requires just such a power to compel all the inhabitants of the earth to worship as he commands, and to implement a likeness of a church and state government that is as outdated as are the Middle Ages themselves. Yes, it take such a power to influence the world save those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life, to bow down to it.

"And the statement that the beast with two horns 'causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast' indicates that the authority of this nation is to be exercised in enforcing some observance which shall be an act of homage to the papacy." The Great Controversy, p. 442.

He will influence all Christendom to "make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live"; that is, he will engineer a world-wide governmental setup, re-enthroning the principles of the church-state rule of Ecclesiastical Rome.

"Such action would be directly contrary to the principles of this government, to genius of its free institutions, to the direct and solemn avowals of the Declaration of Independence, and to the Constitution. The founders of the nation wisely sought to guard against the employment of secular power on the part of the church, with its inevitable result - intolerance and persecution.

The constitution provides that 'congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, and that 'no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office of public trust under the United States.' Only in flagrant violation of these safeguards to nation's liberty, can any religious observance be enforced by civil authority. But the inconsistency of such action is not greater than is represented in the symbol. It is the beast with lamblike horns - profession pure, gentle, and harmless - that speaks as a dragon.

"Saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast.' Here is clearly presented a form of government in which the legislative power rests with the people, a most striking evidence that the United States is the nation denoted in the prophecy." The Great Controversy, pp. 442, 443.

THE GREAT MIRACLE WORKER

"And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in sight of men.

"And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them dwell on the earth, that they should make and image to beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live." Revelation 13:13,14.

The beast spoken of here is the one with lamb-like horns. But SOME ONE ELSE is introduced by the pronoun "he", who "had power to do miracles in the sight of the beast" (The lamb-like). The following scripture will make clear who it is that performs the miracles: "And the beast was taken, and with him the FALSE PROPHET that wrought miracles before him, (before the two-horned beast) with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his imaged. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone." (Revelation 19:20.)

Therefore, the miracles are wrought by the false prophet in the sight of the two-horned beast. The power that is represented by this two-horned beast will identify itself with "the false prophet", for together they are 'cast alive into the lake of fire". Rev 19:20. From this it is plain to see that the wonders which the beast does in the sight of men, and by which he deceives them that dwell on the earth" (Rev 13:13-14), are wrought by the false prophet (Rev. 19:20) "in the sight of the beast." Rev.13:14. Clearly, then, the beast's civil authority, combined with prophet's supernatural power, points to a union of beast and prophet - an affiliation of state and of church representatives.

He, along with the prophet, will become the world's chief dictator, and shape not only the political and the religious policies of the governments, but also the world's commerce. Thus he is to exercise persecutive powers as well as the working of miracles.

IS THE FALSE PROPHET SATAN?

The false prophet is not the papacy or the two-horned beast, neither is he the devil, for we read:

"And the devil that deceived them was cast into a lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are." (Rev. 20:10) "And I saw three unclean spirits like frog come out of the mouth of the dragon [the Devil], and out of the mouth of the beast, and out the mouth of the false prophet." Rev. 16:13.

Therefore, the false prophet is the one who shall precede the manifestation of Satan himself. Said the apostle, "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." (2 Cor. 11:14)

As the doctrines held by the false prophet cannot be fully supported by the Scriptures, miracles are performed to secure the confidence of the people. As the great men and religious leaders declare to the public that the so-called true religion is the truth of Christ, and that the false prophet is His servant, multitudes will fall into Satan's snare. His false prediction of the coming of the Lord, will be fulfilled by Satan himself as he appears as an angel of light. His dazzling brightness, and the false fulfillment of the prophet's prediction, in addition to the already overwhelming delusion, will ensnare a multitude greater than the first. "While appearing to the children of men as a great physician who can heal all their maladies, he will bring disease and disaster, until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation." The Great Controversy, p. 589.

IS THE FALSE PROPHET THE POPE?

"And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him…these both were cast alive into a lake of fire… And the REMNANT were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh." (Rev. 19:20, 21.) Their final end is accomplished by being cast alive into a lake of fire. But the rest of the world ("the remnant") were all slain with the "sword which proceeded out of his mouth: and the fowls were filled with their flesh." [Christ at His 2nd coming] see 2 Thess. 2:3, 8; The Great Controversy, pp. 321,579.

The destruction of both the "false prophet" and the "beast" is clearly foretold:

The lake of fire into which the beast and false prophet are cast, cannot be at the coming of Christ in the clouds, for the wicked are not destroyed by fire at that time, but "With the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming." (2 Thess. 2:8) The beast and the false prophet are cast into a lake of fire after the sixth plague and before the end of the world. This destruction of the "remnant", those that were left after the destruction of the beast and the prophet, is not after the millennium, for the wicked at that time are not destroyed by the sword which "proceeded out of His mouth," but by fire that came down from God out of heaven and devoured them" (Rev. 20.9)

After the millennium and the destruction of the wicked, no living creature will eat another. (See Isaiah 11: 6-9). Hence, the beast the false prophet are cast into a lake of fire BEFORE the millennium; and that lake of fire becomes a type of the destruction of the wicked on the other side of the millennium - the second death.

Mark carefully, according to the following testimony, the destruction of the papacy is at another time and by a different process. "Paul states plainly that the man of sin will continue until the second advent. To the very close of time he will carry forward his work of deception." The Great Controversy, p. 579. See 2 Thess. 2:3,8.

Thus the papacy is to remain to the second coming of Christ, at which time the wicked are to be destroyed by the brightness of His coming. Therefore, the papacy is one thing, and the false prophet another, and the beast still another. The beast "666" and the false prophet, who are to be cast alive into the lake of fire, are the ones who develop the image of the beast - a likeness of the worship in the period of the 1260 years.

"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Rev.20: 14,15.) Thus the world would be given an example before the millennium, of the destruction after the thousand years had ended. The example of the beast and the false prophet is to show that all the wicked will be thrown alive into the lake of fire, and that is the second death. Speaking of the everlasting ruin of the devil, the Word says:

"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are." (Rev. 20: 10). That is, the beast and false prophet do not come up in the second resurrection, exemplifying that there is no resurrection from the second death. Again, we see there is a type for every event, and let none despise types, for where there is no type, there is no truth.

THE NEW WORLD ORDER LEADER - THE MAN "666"

"Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred three score and six" Rev. 13:18.

The mystical number '666' of the beast in Revelation 13:18, as applied to the papacy, proves to be unscriptural as well as unreasonable. While the numerical letters of the title of the pope bears the number 666, there are many other titles, as well as names of individuals, who bear the same number. By simple computing the numerical value of letters in a title, or name, we find it fits many, hence we must look for Biblical proof to make the application. Except we thus prove the idea it would be improper an unfair to apply the symbol to any one individual.

There are many beasts spoken of in the Bible, but this two-horned beast is the only one that can be termed "a man". It will be noticed that from the 11th verse on, of the 13th Chapter of Revelation, the Scripture speaks of the two-horned beast and close with the words: "For it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred three-score and six." Therefore, the mystical number "666," belongs to the two-horned beast and none other.

However, we may not conclude that no one before it could have such a number.

The idea that the papacy is called the beast is altogether wrong. The papacy is represented by symbols on two different beasts. First, on the "non-descript" of Daniel 7, by the "little horn having eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things"; second, on the "leopard-like" of Revelation 13, by the head that was "wounded to death." These beasts are universal, representing the entire world in their time, both civil and religious. Therefore, it could not be said of either beast, "it is…a man". The papacy being only a part of both beasts (horn-head on one, and simply a wounded on the other) cannot be called "the beast." The two-horned beast is the only one representing a local religio-political government. Therefore, of him alone can it be said, it is "a man". Thus whosoever shall stand at the head of that persecuting power a described in this chapter, and represented by the beast, is the one who shall bear the mystical number 666. The Spirit of Prophecy also states that the "King of the North" brought to view in Daniel 11: 45, and two-horned beast of Revelation 13, is the same power and that shall bear the mystical number 666.

"This power is the last that treads down the true church of God: and as the true church is still trodden down, and cast out by all Christendom, it follows that the last oppressive power has not 'come to his end'; and Michael has not stood up. This last power that treads down the saints is brought to view in Revelation 13:11-18. His number is 666.

"I saw that the number (666) of the Image Beast [two-horned - U.S.A] was made up; and that it was the beast that changed the Sabbath, and the Image Beast had followed on after, and kept the Pope's, and not God's Sabbath" A Word to the Little Flock, pp. 8, 9, 19. [] Ours.

"I saw that the two horned beast had a dragon's mouth, and that his power was in his head, and that the decree would go out of his mouth. Then I saw the Mother of Harlots; that the mother was not the daughters, but separate and distinct from them. SHE HAS HAD HER DAY, AND IT IS PAST, and her daughters, the Protestant sects, were the next to come on the stage and act out the same mind that the mother had when she persecuted the saints. I saw that as the mother has been declining in power, the daughters had been growing, and soon they will exercise the power once exercised by the mother." "We are to be ready and waiting for the order of God. Nations will be stirred to their very center. Support will be withdrawn from those who proclaim God's only standard of righteousness, the only sure test of character. And all who will not bow to the decree of the national councils and obey the nation laws to exalt the Sabbath instituted by the man of sin, to the disregard of God holy day, will feel, not the oppressive power of popery alone, but of THE PROTESTANT WORLD, the image of the beast." Selected Messages, Book 2, p. 380.

He shall decree "that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." Rev. 13:17.

The United States of America is the only government in the World that answers to all these specifications.

This beast represents a man who stands at the head of a nation, and whose influence goes far and wide among the kings of the earth. He is further identified by a number - the mystical number "six hundred threescore and six." Rev.13: 18.

The prevailing belief that the number "666" is the numerical identification of some other power, is the spawn of the Prince of Darkness, and is calculated to conceal if possible the identification of this two-horn power. Inspiration puts the number on the two-horn beast, and there we must leave it. When the number is finally made up, the servant of God will be able to convince all the "wise" as to just whom the beast symbolizes. We now see, thought, that no one who studies the Word of God, need to be deceived when this power does appear on the stage of action. Yet notwithstanding God's warning against giving allegiance to the beast, the world fails to give heed, with the result that even after his number is made up, "he causeth all, both small and great, rich an poor, free and bound, to received a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads." (Rev. 13:16).

THE BEAST'S DEATH DECREE?

"And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

"And he causeth, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bound, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

"And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." Rev.13: 15-17.

"Through the two great errors, the immortality of the soul; and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions. While the form lays the foundation for spiritualism, the latter creates a bond of sympathy with Rome… The Protestants of the United States will be foremost in stretching their hands across the gulf to grasp the hand of spiritualism; they will reach over the abyss to clasp hands with Roman power; and under the influence of this threefold union, this country will follow in the steps of Rome in trampling on the rights of conscience…

"The line of distinction between professed Christians and the ungodly is now hardly distinguishable. Church members love what the world loves and are ready to join with them, and Satan determines to unite them in one body and thus strengthen his cause by sweeping all into the ranks of spiritualism. Papists, who boast of miracles as a certain sign of the true church, will be readily deceived by this wonder-working power; and Protestants, having cast away the shield of truth, will also be deluded. Papists, Protestants, and worldlings will alike accept the form of godliness without the power and they will see in this union a grand movement for the conversion of the world and the ushering in of the long expected millennium." The Great Controversy, pp. 588, 589.

" The decree which is to go forth against the people of God will be very similar to that issued by Ahasuerus against the Jews in the time of Esther. The Persian edict sprang from the malice of Haman toward Mordecai. Not that Mordecai had done him harm, but he had refused to show him reverence which belongs only to God. The king's decision against the Jews was secured under false pretenses through misrepresentation of that peculiar people. Satan instigated the scheme in order to rid the earth of those who preserved the knowledge of the true God. But his plots were defeated by a counter power that reigns among the children of men. Angels that excel in strength were commissioned to protect the people of God, and the plots of their adversaries returned upon their own heads. The Protestant world today sees in the little company keeping the Sabbath a Mordecai in the gate. His character and conduct, expressing reverence for the law of God, are a constant rebuke to those who cast off the fear of the Lord and are trampling upon His Sabbath; the unwelcome intruder must by some means be put out of the way.

"By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near.

"As the approach of the Roman armies was a sign to the disciples of the impending destruction of Jerusalem, so may this apostasy be a sign to us that the limit of God's forbearance is reached, that the measure of our nation's iniquity is full, and that the angel of mercy is about to take her flight, never to return. The people of God will then be plunged into those scenes of affliction and distress which prophets have described as the time of Jacob's trouble." Testimonies for the Church, Volume 5, p. 451.

"To stand in defense of truth and righteousness when the majority forsake us, to fight the battle of the Lord when champions are few - this will be our test." Testimonies for the Church, Volume 5, p. 136.

We should now decide what to do, so that we will not be caught off guard. For this very cause the light of Truth has come to us now.

When the beast's decree is passed that no one can buy or sell, and should be killed for non-conformity, then God only can protect His people, the people whose names are written in "The Book" such is his faithful promise: "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great Prince which standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the Book." Dan. 12:1.

ARE GOD'S PEOPLE NOW READY?

"The people of God are UNREADY for the fearful, trying scenes before us, unready to stand pure from evil and lust amid the perils and corruptions of this degenerate age. They have not on the amour of righteousness, and are unprepared to war against the prevailing iniquity. Many are not obeying the commandments of God, yet they profess so to do." Testimonies for the Church, Volume 2, pp. 446, 447.

"The church has turned back from following Christ her leader and is steadily retreating toward Egypt. Yet few are alarmed or astonished at their want of spiritual power. Doubt, and even disbelief of the testimonies of the Spirit of God, is leavening our churches everywhere. Satan would have it thus. Ministers who preach self instead of Christ, would have it thus. The testimonies are unread and unappreciated. God has spoken to you. Light has been shining from His word and from the testimonies, and both have been slighted and disregarded. The result is apparent in the lack of purity and devotion and earnest faith among us." Testimonies for the Church, Volume 5, p. 217.

"The people are subordinating themselves to the world, to its practices, its customs, its selfishness. The church has gone over to the world in transgression of the law, when the world should have come over to the church in obedience to the law. Daily the church is being converted to the world." Christ Object Lessons, p. 316.

WHAT WOULD GOD HAVE US DO?

"Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon." Isa. 55:6, 7.

"A revival and reformation must take place, under the ministration of the Holy Spirit. Revival and reformation are two different things. Revival signifies a renewal of spiritual life, a quickening of the powers of mind and heart, a resurrection from spiritual death. Reformation signifies a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices. Reformation will not bring forth the good fruit of righteousness unless it is connected with the revival of the Spirit. Revival and reformation are to do their appointed work, and in doing this work they must blend." Selected Messages Book 1, p. 128.

"Let each put the question to his own heart: "How have we fallen into this state of spiritual feebleness and dissension? Have we not brought upon ourselves the frown of God because our actions do not correspond with our faith? Have we not been seeking the friendship and applause of the world rather than the presence of Christ and a deeper knowledge of His will?" Examine your own hearts, judge your own course." Testimonies for the Church, Volume 5, pp. 217, 218.

"Now is the time to prepare. The seal of God will never be placed upon the forehead of an impure man or woman. It will never be placed upon the forehead of the ambitious, world-loving man or woman. It will never be placed upon the forehead of men or women of false tongues or deceitful hearts. All who receive the seal must be without spot before God - candidates for heaven. Go forward, my brethren and sisters." Testimonies for the Church, Volume 5, p. 216.

"Not one of us will ever receive the seal of God while our characters have one spot or stain upon them. It is left with us to remedy the defects in our characters, to cleanse the soul temple of every defilement." Testimonies for the Church, Volume 5, p. 214.

"We have many lessons to learn, and many, many to unlearn. God and heaven alone are infallible. Those who think that they will never have to give up a cherished view, never have occasion to change an opinion, will be disappointed. As long as we hold to our own ideas and opinions with determined persistency, we cannot have the unity for which Christ prayed." Counsels to Writers and Editors, p. 37.

"Lead of God, but not infallible, - we must not think, 'well, we have all the truth, we understand the main pillars of our faith, and we may rest on this knowledge'. The truth is an advancing truth and we must walk in the increasing light." Counsel to Writers and Editors, p. 33.

"When new light is presented to the church, it is perilous to shut yourselves away from it. Refusing to hear because you are prejudiced against the message or the messenger will not make your case excusable before God. To condemn that which you have not heard and do not understand will not exalt your wisdom in the eyes of those who are candid in their investigations of truth. And to speak with contempt of those whom God has sent with a message of truth, is folly and madness." Counsels on Sabbath School Work, p. 32.

WHAT WILL GOD DO?

"The church may appear as about to fall, but it does not fall. It remains, while the sinners in Zion will be sifted out - the chaff separated from the precious wheat. This is a terrible ordeal, but nevertheless it must take place." Selected Messages, Book 2, p. 380.

"Tares will appear among the wheat; but it would do more harm to weed out the tares, unless in God's appointed way, than to leave them alone. While the Lord brings into the church those who are truly converted, Satan at the same time brings into the church persons who are not converted into its fellowship. While Christ is sowing the good seed, Satan is sowing the tares. There are two opposing influences continually exerted on the members of the church. One influence is working for the purification of the church, and the other for the corrupting of the people of God." Testimonies to Ministers, p. 46; See also page 47.

"We have been inclined to think that where there are no faithful ministers there can be no true Christians, but this is not the case. God has promised that where the shepherds are not true He will take charge of the flock Himself. God has never made the flock wholly dependent upon human instrumentalities. But the days of purification of the church are hastening on apace. God will have a people pure and true. In the mighty sifting soon to take place we shall be better able to measure the strength of Israel. The signs reveal that the time is near when the Lord will manifest that His fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly purge His floor." Testimonies for the Church, Volume 5, p. 80.

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled; yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. Time is short. God is calling, will you hear? Will you receive His message? Will you be converted before it is to late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, September 26, 1909" Manuscript Releases, Volume 1, p. 260.

GOD'S REPLY TO THE NEW WORLD ORDER

The world government which is to develop from the "League of Nations" and the "United Nations", is not actually to be absolutely universal, and there are still to be "two worlds," but rather than there being Capitalism and Communism, they are to be those who worship God and have their names written in the Book. The latter are the only people who will not bow down to the future world government.

Here you see that this unification of the world, engendered to bring peace and harmony of the present chaos, will instead bring an even greater time of trouble. And why? - Because though the beast may bring Communism and Capitalism to mutual agreement, and cause them to bow down to the image of the beast, yet those whose names are written in the Lamb's Books of Life will never comply. From this you see that the whole plan is directed by a supernatural power whose aim is to boycott the people of God. They shall nevertheless be delivered

"The darkest hour of the church's struggle with powers of evil is that which immediately precedes the day of her final deliverance. But none who trust in God need fear; for "when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall," God will be to his church "a refuge from the storm." Isaiah 25:4.

"In that day only the righteous are promised deliverance. "The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; he shall dwell on high: his place of defense shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure." "And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations,… to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the gentiles. And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the Lord out of all nations… to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the Lord as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord." "The portion of Jacob is not like them,… Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war, for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms,… Jer. 51:19-24.

"Clad in the armor of Christ's righteousness, the church is to enter upon her final conflict. "Fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners" (Song of Solomon 6:10), she is to go forth into all the world, conquering and to conquer." Prophet and Kings, p. 725.

"Only those who have withstood temptation in the strength of the Mighty One will be permitted to act a part in proclaiming it [the Third Angel's message] when it shall have swelled into the loud cry." Review and Herald, November 19, 1908.

A full realization of the glorious reward that awaits mankind will even now compel to shout for joy! And a like realization of the dreadful penalty that awaits all who fail to make God their refuge, will cause them even now to weep and gnash their teeth.
